As a unit holder, you enjoy the best location in Silver Star Mountain's world famous Victorian village, an easy stroll to the restaurants and shopping but quiet enough for family enjoyment after a long day's skiing. You will hold a registered interest to your own 2-bedroom suite in the form of a 99-year lease. Each suite is managed separately by Silver Star Club Resort, with over 20 years experience at Silver Star Mountain.

Why is the lock off so important?

Each unit has two rental rooms - a one-bedroom suite with bunkroom and full kitchen that sleeps 6, and a deluxe hotel room with two queen beds. Each room has a separate entrance and an adjoining door to the other room. This arrangement gives maximum flexibility for revenue and your own use. You can be in the suite with family while the deluxe room continues to earn revenue. Guests can rent rooms with 4, 6, or 10 pillows.

How is the revenue split?

Each unit will be tracked separately, with no pooling. A rental agreement will form part of the purchase, and specific details will be made available to you.

How much will I make from rentals?

Until a full disclosure statement is prepared, we can't discuss projected income. We have been in operation as a conference hotel for seven years. Our average income per suite for the last three years has been over $25,000.

What do I have to pay?

The ownership expenses will be what you would pay if your suite were a separate property, like property taxes, insurance, building maintenance and utilities. There are also some common area and association fees. We can manage all of these for you, and you would receive a monthly accounting.

What is the Club fee?

When you are in your suite, you will have not only the hotel services offered to all guests such as daily maid service, but additional Club only benefits, including private ski lockers. We could charge an annual fee to all owners for this, however it would be unfair to those who use their units less than others. Your extra Club privileges are available year round, not just when you're in-house.

What about summer?

As the host to Silver Star Mountain's conference center, the property is open year round. Your suite is available to you on request, although restaurants and shops may not be available in the quieter seasons.
